Kashmir Harvard bagged 2 medals in ‘FIT INDIA CYCLOTHON’ under Fit India Movement campaign, organized by District Youth services and Sports Srinagar.

District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhry (IAS), Chief Guest on the occasion flagged off the event from Nehru Park Srinagar at 8:00 am. After passing through Boulevard road, the cycling event culminated at Nishat Garden Chowk. Around 195 Boys & Girls participated in the cycling event under 4 categories.

Addressing the participants Chief Guest Dr. Shahid Iqbal encouraged the young participants and also applauded the role of Youth Services & Sports Department. At the end of the cycling event, a closing cum facilitation ceremony was conducted at Nishat in which the position holders were facilitated with trophies and medals. Speaking at the closing ceremony District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar Balbir Singh highlighted the need of such events in order to inculcate a sense of fitness and to indulge in sports activities regularly.
