KASHMIR HARVARD KIDS SPORTS MEET

The 2 day Kashmir Harvard Kids’ Sports Meet concluded with Principal Secretary to Government, Mr. Asgar Hassan Samoon distributing prizes among the winners at Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute here on Thursday. The two day event saw around more than 800 young athletes from Nursery to class UKG from fourteen Institutes of the city participating in it. In the meet events like Simple Race, sack race, spoon race, relay, race, ball collection race and tug of war were held for both boys and girls. Principal Secretary to Government, Mr. Asgar Hassan Samoon (I.A.S.) was the chief guest on the occasion while as Chairman Kashmir Harvard Mr. Tariq Ahmad, Volleyball Coach Kashmir University,Miss Irfaana Yousuf Principal Kashmir Harvard, Mr. Muneer Aalam were Guest of honors.

“I think this is the only type of event organized in entire Valley where in focus has been kept on kids. I applaud organizers for this kind of initiative that began last year and has become popular among the Institutes that can be summed from the number of participation. I think to infuse love towards sports among students we need to organize such type of events as it will prepare them for different sports disciplines from very early age,” said Chief Guest while speaking on the occasion.

The schools that participated in the event were GVEI, Kashmir Harvard, Legends, Alpha, New Mission, Madina School, Sane Kids, Hatrick, Sheikh-Ul-Alam, Oak Hill, Modern Era, Crescent and Madri Meharban School.
