WORLD DISABILITY DAY
CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF THE SPECIAL ONES.
3rd December is dedicated to disabled/handicapped persons to protect, promote and defend their rights.
The observance of the day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well being of persons with disabilities.
We, at Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute came together to Mark world Disability day, the importance of celebrating the Achievements of the Differently Abled People and ensuring equality and dignity was a key highlight of the day .
Students from Grade 10 talked about Achievements of Differently Abled Person as an example of how Disability cannot define one’s ability and potential .
A Speech competition and a special skit was also performed in this year’s theme of “empowering person with disability and insuring equality” was beautifully depicted. Congratulations to Ms. Aliza from Grade 10th for winning the speech competition.
All the Students who performed in role play were felicitated.
